To ensure that a positive health and safety culture is actively promoted, we shall provide necessary information, training, instruction and supervision needed for compliance.
Anchor Telecoms operates a ‘low blame’ culture whereby employees are constantly encouraged to report hazards, including near misses, without fear of reprisal to ensure the root causes of accidents are identified thus enabling measures to be put in place to eliminate recurrence.
At Anchor Telecoms Limited, we are committed to the following:
- Maintain a safe and healthy place of work with safe access and egress;
- Provide adequate welfare facilities;
- Ensure that risk assessments are being carried out on an on-going basis with employees participating and consultation in the risk assessment process. On a regular basis, conduct strategic sessions with the primary aim of identifying hazards and the setting of prioritized objectives for elimination and reduction of risk;
- Provide sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision to enable employees avoid hazards and to contribute positively to their health and safety whilst at work;
- Uphold employee’s right to refuse Unsafe work once Health & Safety is at risk or endangered;
- Ensure employee’s access to competent health and safety advice;
- Provide equipment and systems of work which are safe and without risks to health;
- Ensure safe arrangements for the use, handling, storage and transport of articles or equipments;
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety legislation, regulations, codes of practice and other requirements associated with Nigeria operations;
- Arrange for the effective planning, organization, control, monitoring and review of preventive and protective measures and continuous improvement of OH&S system
- Commit to reporting OH&S performance within its annual Management report.
